As of late, I’ve been getting many inquiries about the status of TripTie. After all, you’ve signed up on our mailing list (which started about a month ago) and have yet to see the application we promised. Well, let me tell you, it’s coming along! As I write, the back-end is being integrated with the front-end, logic is being written, and many more technical things are being figured out and implemented. For myself and the rest of the TripTie team, it’s been very exciting to see something that we have been developing for months, start to come to life. It will be a reality, and a reality that will come shortly.

For those of you that have been keeping up since the beginning (thank you!), you’ve noticed that this blog has seen some changes. Originally, it was solely for the purpose of myself, re-telling and commenting on the experiences of starting up a new business. This probably won’t change as I will still reflect occasionally (it’s very therapeutic). However, as the company has grown, so has the horizons of this blog. What is In Eighty Days? Here’s a short list:

1. It’s a place to share travel stories and adventures.
2. It’s a forum to report on TripTie (the application) and it’s members (when we have some).
3. It’s a means to reflect on the travel industry as a whole.
4. It’s an outlet for TripTie ruffians (The TripTie team) to speak their mind.
5. And of course, it’s where Andrew sometimes talks about being an entrepreneur.

Off topic, it’s a cold, cold day today in New York City. I’d rather be inside, working away.
