Braun 370 Pocket Twist Plus

I’m lucky that I don’t have a ton of facial hair. Even though I shave once a day, I could probably go two or three days without much notice. I routinely use an old Norelco 3-head electric razor; I’ve had it since my freshman year in college (I worked an entire week at the dining commons just to make enough money to buy it!) It’s quick, convenient, and shaves just close enough for me. My issue with it (besides the fact that the time between charges is getting noticeably shorter) is that when traveling, it’s just a bit too bulky and heavy.

The quick and easy solution, of course, would be to bring a safety razor when packing light. Better yet, buck up and brave the blade of a true razor. But I’ll have to admit, I have rather sensitive skin. I use to use a safety razor, but tired of the process that some obviously cherish: the shaving cream, the after-balm, the after-shave, the water, the mess, the cleanup. Electrics are just simpler. So what is a man like me to do?

I found my answer in the Braun 370 Pocket Twist Plus. Honestly, I was a bit hesitant to purchase it at first because of the price. It’s only $15. But then I thought, “It’s only $15!” When it arrived (free shipping from Amazon.com), I was pleasantly surprised. It is small, fairly light, has a great feature in that the case swivels around to cover the blade (you’ll have to see pictures to understand), and most importantly, it shaves just fine (pretty much the same as my old Norelco). And the icing on the cake? Batteries included.
